Of course, however, we do have some suggestions.
If you are going on our 2 day cruise, we suggest children 12 and older. If you are taking the 8 hour tour, we suggest children 8 and older. If you are on the 4-and-a-half hour tour, we suggest children 4 and older. If you have a younger child with you and would like to bring them, please give us a call at 619-534-9249 and we will do our best to accommodate you! Unfortunately, we do not offer a child’s rate at this time.
Of course, however, we do have some suggestions.
If it is a manual wheelchair, yes. Unfortunately, we can’t allow electric wheelchairs on the boat at this time as it becomes a safety liability.
Unfortunately, we don’t have the facilities for your pet to come with us! However, all service animals are welcome aboard. They must have their ADA paperwork and/or tag visible.
A camera, for sure! You will be seeing some amazing once-in-a-lifetime views, so be sure to capture these forever with your camera.
We also recommend a sweatshirt or light jacket. It can get cool and windy while you are out on the water, so grab a sweatshirt or jacket so you don’t miss one second of the fantastic wildlife. It can get as cold as ten to fifteen degrees cooler than the temperature on land.
Wear comfortable shoes. Our crew all wear closed toes shoes with a good grip on the bottom and we suggest the same, but wear whatever is best for you and your feet.
It does get sunny out on the water, so pack your favorite pair of sunglasses. The sun’s rays are a bit stronger while out on the water, so a sunscreen with a minimum SPF 30 is best. If you’d like to wear a hat, you are more than welcome – just make sure it won’t blow off your head in case we pick up some offshore winds!
For the two day trip, the suggested packing list is as follows:
- 2 shirts
- 2 pairs of pants
- 1 jacket AND 1 sweatshirt
- 2 pairs of underwear
- 2 pairs of socks
- 1 pair of non-skid shoes
- Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razor, etc)
- Towel for showering
- Extra pillows and blankets (we provide one pillow and a comfortable blanket, but feel free to bring your own!)
Although an uncommon occurrence, it happens! We will do everything in our power to make you comfortable. However, the best offense is a good defense. Prior to your trip, take seasickness pills (we sell them aboard the ship, in case you forget) and get a good night’s rest.
If you start to feel sick, stay outside, near the stern of the boat, where it’s more stable. Find a spot on the horizon and keep staring at it, to help regain your coordination. Nibble on some plain crackers and drink some ginger ale. If none of this helps, and you are about to lose your lunch, just lean over the railing and feed the fish. Please do NOT use the bathrooms. If we hit a swell and you hit your head on the toilet, our crew will have difficulties getting to you to administer first aid.
Our crew is here to help, so if you aren’t feeling 100%, let us know. We will do everything we can to make your trip as enjoyable as possible! All crew members are first aid and CPR certified.
Of course! We even have a refrigerator with plenty of space, in case you need to keep anything cool. The only limitation is that you can not bring your own alcoholic beverages.
We will offer you a variety of food, depending on which trip you select!
On our two day trips, you receive a breakfast, lunch and dinner each day, as well as all of your non-alcoholic beverages. If you require a vegetarian or vegan meal, please let us know at least a week prior to your departure date so we can stock our galley accordingly.
On our 8 hour tours, you will be offered a continental breakfast of fresh fruits, bagels and yogurt. During your trip, we will offer you a lunch that is prepared on the Eclipse by our experienced and talented Chef. On the way back from your voyage, we offer an amazing afternoon snack spread, from cheese and crackers and fresh fruit and much more! All of your non-alcoholic beverages are included. Vegetarian options are available upon request.
If you are taking our four-and-a-half hour trip, your ticket includes a delicious lunch, made from scratch, and your non-alcoholic beverages! Anything else is an extra charge.
For all of our trips, alcoholic beverages are not included and are an extra charge.
Please Note: we can not guarantee any allergy free area, such as peanut free or gluten free. If you require special dietary needs, please call us. We will forward your dietary needs onto our galley crew and they will try to accommodate you. If they run into any issues, they will contact you and try to figure something out!
We are located at 1717 Quivira Rd, San Diego, CA. You can park in front of the Seaforth Sportfishing building. Our parking is always free! We highly suggest removing all valuables from your car and locking it up. Although our parking lot is secured and monitored, we hold no responsibility for any items that are stolen out of your automobile.
It all depends on the day, the time of year, and where we go!
In the winter, we typically see gray whales, common dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, Risso’s dolphins and the Pacific White Sided Dolphin. We also have the chance to see humpback, fin and minke whales. We might also see sea lions, seals, sunfish, sharks, and plenty of avian wildlife!
In the summer, we typically see blue whales, fin whales, common and bottlenose dolphins and have the chance to see humpback and minke whales. We might also see sea lions, seals, sunfish, sharks, and plenty of avian wildlife!
On our two day trip, we have the chance to see all of the above, as well as Cuvier’s beaked whales, orcas (killer whales), pilot whales, and much much more!
All of our sightings depend on the time of year, water and weather conditions!
Yes, of course! Our crew make over half of their income off of your gratuity, and we suggest $5-$10 per person in your party for a 4.5 hour tour and $15-$20 per person in your party for the eight hour tour. For the 2 day trip, we suggest $40 per person, per day, so $70-$80 per person. There is no pressure or necessity to tip, but the crew greatly appreciates everything.
No, you do not need your passport. We do suggest bringing your license/state ID/foreign ID with you, in case you plan on purchasing alcohol. You must be 21 or older to purchase alcohol, even in Mexican waters, since we are an American owned boat, therefore follow American laws on deck.
The tax and fuel surcharge is only charged on our discounted voucher tickets. If you purchase a full-priced ticket, the cost is already included in your ticket.
As of October 29th, 2013, our tax and fuel surcharge for our 4.5 hour trip is $10 per person, cash only.
For the eight hour trip, the cost is $20 per person, cash only.
The two day trip includes all of your tax and fuel surcharge and will not be charged extra upon boarding.
If you have any questions about this surcharge, please call us and we can explain it further.
