At least 600 common dolphins were seen in the morning…and four or five mola mola’s. We than ran into some rain squalls, and pretty bumpy conditions from the wind. We were certainly rewarded for persevering through the weather – with a breaching humpback whale – and more breaching humpbacks in the distance; good looks at two blue whales; and an ever-so-brief look at a minke whale. Everyone on board, including our staff, were amazed by the humpbacks jumping and showing off for everyone. This is great news. It means the water is cooling down and the baleen whales are returning!
